Giovanni Arru was born in Sassari in 1965, where he still lives and works.

The artist has shown great talent and love for painting; his paintings encapsulate the pleasure of nature, but above all the serenity and happiness of men and women in the context of the environment in which they live.

He already exposed in La Spezia, Bari, Bitritto, as well as in prestigious group exhibitions in various towns and cities of Sardinia, such as Bultei (SS) from 2000 to

2007 Ozieri (SS) in 2004 , Burgos (SS) in 2000 , Bono (SS) in 2001 and 2003, Bolotana (NU) in 1999 , Bortigali (NU) in 1997.

Arru can also boast several appearances at the Expoarte of Bari and Padova.

The works of Giovanni Arru are part of important public collections , among which we mention Art Gallery of the City of Bono (SS ), City of Bultei (SS) , the Municipality of Burgos (SS ), City of Bitritto (Ba).

Publications have been made about Arru's painting "Yearbook Sardinian Painters " in 2004 , "Yearbook of Modern Art " in 2000 , "Art in Sardegna " in 2007.
