 Cesare Cabras was born in Monserrato (Cagliari) in1886.

He mainly worked as a painter from 1920 to 1950. He took part in probably more than 200 shows, including: the 18^th and 20^th Venice Biennial Exhibitions, many Rome Quadrennial Exhibitions, the Colonial Art Exhibition, and the Italian Art Exhibition in Berlin.

His works are present in many prestigious galleries and collections both in Italy and abroad, including: the Modern Art Gallery, Rome; the Vittorio Emanuele 3rd’s Collection , Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione, Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri , Rome; the City Gallery of Art, Camera di Commercio, Cagliari.

He died in Monserrato in 1968.
