Giuseppe Bellino was born in Bitritto (Bari) on the 3rd day of January 1944.

Currently he lives and works in Sassari.In the 1962 he left from Bitritto and he moved to Rome, in the March of the same year he painted his first work.From 1964 to 1969 he attended the Art Institutes of Rome and Bologna.In 1968 he started attending the”Accademia di Belle Arti” of San Luca in Rome.During the same year he got the gold medal as the best emerging painter of contemporary art at the”Quadriennale di Roma”.In 1969 he won the “Leone d’oro” 1st award at the 10th Contemporary Art Exhibition in Palazzo Strozzi in Florence.During his 40 years of career he received, in national and international art exhibition, over 50 awards and gold medals.

A lot of reviews of his works appear in the best volumes of contemporary art such as: Il Quadrato, Arte Mondadori, Annuario Comanducci, Arte Europa, Dizionario Bolaffi and more.Some of his paintings could be found both in private and public collections such as: Banco di Sardegna, Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, Banco di Roma, University of Sassari, University of Cagliari and University of Nuoro, Burgos Museum, Museum Furmoderne Kunst – Frankfurt, National Portrait Gallery – London, Musee d’Arte Contemporain – Lyon, Modern Art Museum of Winnipeg (Canada).

During these 40 years of his career organized over 100 personal exhibitions in several Italian cities and over 200 collective exhibitions, including Expo Arte of Bari, Padova, Lugano, Barcelona, Udine, Ginevra, Genova.
