Ireneo Janni was born at Atri - Teramo, on the 7th of January in 1946. He obtained the diploma at the art school and his degree in architecture in the same town of Pescara. Since 1964 he has been invited to famous exhibitions, awarding prizes and rewards; from 1966 to '69 he was working at the realization of artistic Windows for public and private agencies. In 1970 and 1973 he was in Milan where he worked feverishly and attended the artistic milieu of Brera. He started exhibiting in Paris, Baden, Luzern, Zurich and in many other Italian towns, such as Florence, Milan, Rome, Turin, Sassari, with numerous praises. In 1973 he definitively moved to Rome, taking active part to the artistic and cultural life of the Capital and exhibiting works tackling the political, social and ecological question "the 1980 man is faced with". In the same period he was also in Florence with several personal and collective exhibitions. In the 80s he carried out the bronze now memorial of the Resistence for the Commune of Atri and the repair-restoration of the frescos of the Comunal theatre, moreover he was also with personal and collective exhibitions in Holland, Nigeria and New York.
