Romano Buratti was born in Cesena in 1937 where he completed his studies of expressive activities at the Professional Institute under the guidance of Gianetto Malmerendi.
He later attended a two-year open choice course at the Fine Arts Academy in Ravenna with master Folli as his professor.
He has been interested in humorous graphics for many years and has worked with both newspapers and magazines. For approximately ten years, starting from 1974, he participated in numerous competitions and won prestigious prizes and the unconditional approval of public and critics alike.
He can boast over 100 individual exhibitions in Italy, Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland and has also participated in numerous collective exhibitions in Italy, Brazil, the United States, Turkey, Hungary, Poland and Greece and in art fairs and salons in Padua, Bari, Taormina, Porn, Rimini, Parma, Pordenone, Udine and Morciano.
His works are permanently on display in prestigious European galleries as well as in public and private collections.
In addition, his name is featured in the most important Italian and European catalogues and magazines Registered in the archive of Rome's Modern Art Gallery.
